Lunch & Learn with Child and Youth Counsellor Amanda Young
The Centre for Family Initiatives Director will be joined by Amanda Young, CYW., B.A., B.Ed for a lunch & learn.
Amanda Young (she/her) is a Child and Youth Counsellor with over 14 years of experience working with children and youth. Amanda began her career as a high school educator and has since dedicated her career to working with youth experiencing addictions and mental health concerns in a variety of community and hospital programs in Toronto, ON. Amanda currently works with patients and families navigating crisis mental health and eating disorders. Amanda’s approach to treatment involves a variety of evidence-based methodologies alongside humour and good rapport building. When she isn’t working with youth at home, she’s spending time with her husband and twin toddlers. Amanda is currently completing a Master in Social Work.
