SEAN MACDONALD

Sean brings more than 24 years of experience in youth mental health – for the last two decades with various roles at Youthdale Treatment Centres in Toronto:  in live-in treatment, in the crisis service on the Acute Inpatient Units, and most recently, as a member of the Crisis Support Team.

Sean is the recipient of the 2016 Youthdale Compassion Award, given to the employee who shows compassion above and beyond their job’s requirement. He is passionate about supporting clients and families in need. He believes that connecting with families and hearing their story is a vital part of the healing process. 

Sean also contributes as a CYW on the Adolescent Inpatient Unit at Humber River Health.

He holds a BSc and is a member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care.

Away from work, Sean enjoys spending time with family and is currently raising three cats. Sean enjoys travelling to anywhere that has a beach and good food prepared by somebody other than him.
