Families on our waiting list who need immediate help. We support them with counseling and resources while they wait for live-in treatment for their teen.

Provide youth with growth and healing through therapeutic recreation, funded entirely by donations.
Young people across Ontario are facing an unprecedented mental health crisis.
There is an urgent need to reach more young people and the adults who support them, and events like ‘The Masks we Wear: Healing Through Art’ help us do that.
For two decades, Pine River Institute has been helping young people struggling with addictive behaviours and related mental health challenges to reclaim their lives, their families and their futures.

Art is an important part of our program. We continue to see the positive impact it has on our students’ mental health.
Self-expression and self-reflection are profoundly therapeutic activities at Pine River. These masks are created at an advanced stage of a student’s healing journey, allowing them to express their innermost fears, desires, and hopes through creative expression.
This extraordinary event is an opportunity to witness the poignancy and power of the Pine River program, through the art and voices of our youth.
“I cannot begin to tell you how Pine River changed my life but I truly believe they saved it. They gave me my life back. Thank you Pine River, it is because of you I am still standing here today.”
– Pine River alumni student
