Karin holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University and brings over 15 years of research experience, specializing in youth development. With a deep commitment to the well-being of young people, Karin has spent more than a decade in the non-profit sector, with a focus on program evaluation. Her research interests include the impact of technology on the developmental and educational experiences of children and adolescents, as well as engagement, resilience and well-being in youth.
In addition to academic research, Karin is actively engaged in the local community. She is a member of the Lions Club, serving on the Youth Opportunities Committee, and a leader in the local Beavers and Cubs groups.
Outside of work, Karin enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, and exploring the outdoors. She also has a passion for traveling.
