Our community gathered on campus last week to raise this year’s new Pride Flag.
“As we gather to raise the flag today, we raise a symbol of unity, love, and equality,” said Dan Ardis, Senior Director of Campus Life. “We celebrate our diversity, our acceptance of one another as we are, and the unwavering strength of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Let this flag inspire all of us to be our authentic selves and encourage all of us to be accepting of one another.”
You can listen to the address by our student council representative in the video above.
A special thank you to teacher Reid Levac, who spearheaded the celebration programming. Activities will continue throughout the month (and year-round), including a flag puzzle piece relay, tie-dye, and face painting.
