Pine River’s Centre for Family Initiatives Shares Expertise with Community Clinicians

Pine River’s Centre for Family Initiatives (CFI@PRI), led by Amanda Lamb, has been sharing Pine River’s model with an ever-increasing number of community clinicians and professionals working with youth and their families.

Two more training opportunities are coming up: one in Toronto in July and another on campus in Mulmur in August. The details are on our Clinical Training page.

Trainings in the last year garnered more than 200 participants and included organizations like Sunnybrook Health Centre, Unity Health Network, Family Services Ontario, and Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County.

“This was a phenomenal workshop,” shared one participant in feedback. “I learned a lot about myself, my own family, and the families I’ve worked with! I would highly recommend this to anyone.”

The 3-day workshop allows OAMHP members to apply 18 hours (CECs) toward their required education hours.

CFI@PRI has also been extending our knowledge and expertise to parents, caregivers, and educators through live webinars and masterclasses.

In the last year:

  • 22 live webinars
  • 3,500 participants
  • 3 masterclasses, reaching 500 participants
  • 1,050 additional participants accessed the material through follow-up YouTube screenings
