JOINED PINE RIVER: 2021
Nicole brings a deep commitment to supporting youth through periods of growth, challenge and self-discovery. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
Her journey at Pine River Institute began as an overnight youth counsellor, followed by several years as a team youth counsellor. After completing her MSW, she transitioned into her current role as therapist, continuing her dedication to helping young people find their sense of self, confidence and connection in their lives.
Prior to joining Pine River, Nicole worked in settlement services, EarlyON programs and within school board settings — developing a broad understanding of the diverse challenges and strengths that young people and families carry with them. She has also supported youth through volunteer roles in community-based programs, helping them build resilience and a sense of belonging.
Rooted in empathy, collaboration and a belief in every young person’s potential, Nicole approaches her work with authenticity and hope.
