David Dibben

David is an active and adventurous person who comes to PRI after working as an outreach counsellor with young adults experiencing housing instability, and mental health and substance use challenges. He has also worked with teenagers in schools and residential treatment settings in British Columbia. David discovered he enjoys working in remote locations when he spent a decade working in forestry.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from OISE at the University of Toronto. Pine River appealed to David because of the opportunity to work with youth and their families while also incorporating the great outdoors. He enjoys walking the trails, going on camping trips with his team and being active with the students.

When he’s not at Pine River, David enjoys cooking elaborate meals, spending time with friends and reading. David is also an avid traveller, having been to over 50 different countries on 5 continents. He enjoys learning from different cultures and trying exotic foods.
