Pine River Institute (PRI) is a place of hope where youth and their families find a safe, nurturing, professional environment where they begin to heal.  It combines wilderness therapy, residential treatment and family-centred programming to reduce substance use and improve the well-being of the youth it serves.

Research has shown that PRI’s programs work.  Parents credit PRI for being there for families in a time of crisis and for saving their youth’s life.  PRI is entering a new phase in its ability to deliver programming for youth and families in need of support and create an impact in the youth addictions systems.  With the recent opening of Moffat House and the additional funding from the Ontario Ministry of Health, it is more than doubling the number of publicly funded beds at PRI to 59.  The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on youth addictive behaviours and mental health and PRI anticipates the demand for treatment continue to increase.

Reporting to the CEO, as the Senior Director of Operations and Campus Life, you will be a key leader of the organization working with a caring, compassionate, highly dedicated, professional leadership team and staff.  You will ensure their very special community sees you as the leader who makes everybody at the Pine River Institute feel welcomed and engaged, and that everything at PRI works well.  You will be a calm, highly engaged presence who loves to get outdoors and have fun with the youths.  Education continuation for PRI’s youth is supported by the Upper Grand District School Board.

You may be a secondary Principal in a school board ready for a second career— highly engaged with your students, ensuring the school is a true community and responsive to all kids.  Or, you may be a Guidance Counsellor in a secondary school, or, a truly engaged Operations and Programs leader in a Community Service organization that serves youth.
