Location: Mulmur campus ( hybrid)
Salary range: $60000-$75000 (commensurate with experience)
This is an integral role within the Clinical team that oversees the activity of admitting students and their caregivers into our PRI live in treatment program. This role will work closely with our Centre for Family Initiatives to develop or maintain relationships with referral sources.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in building relationships with clients, and demonstrate exceptional verbal, written communication skills. Experience with interviewing, client assessment and wait list management will be very important. In addition, this candidate will have experience working with an at risk population and have a working knowledge of child and youth addictions and mental health therapeutic treatment programming.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Respond to admission inquiries, providing detailed information and support to youth/caregivers to determine suitability of joining the wait list of the PRI live-in treatment program
- Oversee the on-site assessment process for families
- Manage the wait list for admissions
- Prepare comprehensive assessments to facilitate admission decision, in collaboration with Clinical Director
- Develop pathways for admissions in addition to Ontario Health funded beds
- Ensure PRI’s treatment program has pipelines for the consistent admission of students/families as spaces become available
- Oversee the admission process from end to end ensuring clinical and medical consultations and various partners are involved at the appropriate times to ensure a smooth and successful entry into the Wilderness Program, including census and bed planning communications
- Lead and provide comprehensive data base management to document interactions and the collection of information from inquiry to admission
- Oversee the development and maintenance of admission packages and policies for new clients and their families/caregivers
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of reporting to various departments
- Participate in PRI Management team meetings; Clinical, Prime and PQICS
- Support initiatives to improve the flow and confidentiality of information exchanges from inquiry to admission
- Provide support and leadership to the Admissions Coordinator
- Participate in the clinical on call rotation
- Perform other related duties
Qualifications:
- University degree in relevant human services field ( Social Work, Psychology etc.)
- Previous experience in assessment and admissions activities
- Previous experience working with at risk youth/families considered as asset
- Working knowledge of addictions and mental health sector particularly child and youth services
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically excel
- Experience with inputting and reporting within a client management system
