Pine River supporters turned a vision into a reality through generous donations totaling $8 million.
Pine River Institute opened and was able to operate for the first two years because of private donations received through “The Way Back” campaign, which raised $4.5 million in 18 months under the dedicated leadership of Don Wright and with significant investment from the Toronto Rotary Foundation.
In 2015, following the success of the “Help Make a Home” campaign led by Nancy Hamm, the campus in Shelburne Ontario became Pine River’s “forever home” with the purchase of the previously rented facility. This campaign also enabled capital improvements including the addition of three portables.
Today we have a comprehensive program, clinical expertise, and a track record of success. It is with the tremendous generosity and wisdom of the community that Pine River has been able to help hundreds of families and establish itself as a centre of excellence.
